A lot of us have a folder like that. Or an envelope. Or just a pile of papers on a shelf: “Should really get these translated, but no rush for now.”
I kept my diploma translation sitting there for almost a year. Figured — what’s the hurry, it’ll come in handy someday.
Then it did. Suddenly. Within a week. And that’s when it started: frantic searching for a translator, rush fees, nerves, waiting. All the things I could have avoided if I’d just done it earlier — calmly, without pressure, at a normal price.
Since then I try not to put documents off. Not because they’re always needed urgently. But because calm is always cheaper than panic. In money and in nerves.
If you’ve got a folder like that — maybe it’s worth going through it? At least seeing what’s in there.
